n a series of roundtables with chief diversity officers at
DiversityInc headquarters in Newark, N.J., we explored the
intersection of effective diversity management and employee
engagement. We examined relevant diversity-mangement best
practices, including maximizing employee-resource groups,
leadership commitment, and internal and external branding.
We convened two roundtables of chief diversity officers
representing companies in The 2010 DiversityInc Top 50
Companies for Diversity®. We also held two roundtables with
chief diversity officers from companies we deemed up-and-comers—those with diversity-management practices in place
that give them the potential to earn spots on the DiversityInc
Top 50 list within the next two years.
