DiversityInc’s next event will be held Nov. 8–9 in Washington, D.C. DiversityInc will explore the importance and nuances of employee engagement and continue to advance the dialogue of diversity
management. The first day will be aimed at senior leaders and will focus on “How Diversity Management
Drives Employee Engagement.”
This event, which will include professionally facilitated
discussions, will feature subject-matter experts including
U.S. Army Brigadier General Belinda Pinckney and John
Kemp, executive director and general counsel of the US
Business Leadership Network. This day-long learning session is by invitation only, with no consultants allowed.
The session will be followed by a black-tie dinner in
which DiversityInc will announce eight special awards
for companies with unique achievements. Confirmed
CEOs accepting these awards include Bob McDonald,
CEO of Procter & Gamble (No. 18 in The DiversityInc Top

On Nov. 9, the second day of the event, the focus will
be on “The Public Sector: Implementing Effective
Diversity Management.” This primer session is aimed
at federal agencies and companies doing business with
the federal government. Speakers will include chief
diversity officers from PricewaterhouseCoopers, IBM
Corp., Sodexo, Merck & Co., Ernst & Young, Newell
Rubbermaid, CSX, Colgate-Palmolive and the U.S.
Department of State.
