determining senior executive ratings, which are used
for compensation.
Accenture has a thorough and comprehensive
diversity-training program, which it tracks through
a scorecard. The firm tells us that on a 5.0 scale,
diversity-training sessions receive a 4. 7 score on average, which is significantly higher than other training
sessions’ averages. The retention and promotion of
participants is also tracked.

A long-time diversity leader, PepsiCo continues
to push for an inclusive work force through strong
employee-resource groups and diversity training.
DIVERSITY STRENGTHS
PepsiCo’s 12-member board has three women members, two Asian members and one Black member.
Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi ties 17 percent of
senior-executive bonuses to diversity results.
PepsiCo has 11 employee-resource groups, including
groups for white men and different generations. Forty
percent of employees participate in these groups.
The company also has mandatory diversity training
for its entire work force, held every month for more
than a day. PepsiCo also has mandatory employee
surveys including diversity.
