has been awarded the
Beta Alpha Psi President’s
Award for his work with
promoting excellence
among financial-
information students and
professionals. Milano is
a retired KPMG partner
who became involved with
the honors organization
as an undergraduate
accounting student at
Temple University. He
has been active in the
organization throughout
his career. With Milano’s
leadership, the honors
organization broadened its
scope beyond accounting-
student membership
to include finance and
information-systems
students. KPMG is No. 49
on The 2008 DiversityInc
Top 50 Companies for
Diversity® list.
CINDY BRINKLEY,
senior vice president of
talent development and
chief diversity officer for
AT&T, is responsible for
leadership development,
work-force planning,
diversity and T University,
a leadership-training
program that is designed
to create leaders that
have an impact at every
level of the company’s
business. Brinkley served
as president of AT&T
in Missouri, where she
was responsible for all
regulatory, legislative,
governmental and
external-affairs activities.
Brinkley began her career
as an external-affairs
liaison to the Texas Public
Utility Commission and
media spokesperson for
regulatory and legislative
activities relating to the
Texas Legislature. AT&T
is No. 22 in the 2008

LORNA C. DONATONE,
Sodexo school services’
division president, was
elected to The Culinary
Institute of America (The
CIA) board of trustees at
the organization’s annual
meeting. She heads a
division that serves
2.5 million meals each
day to more than 4
million schoolchildren.
The division is part of
Sodexo’s education
market, which serves
more than 850 college
campuses. Donatone has
been actively involved
with The CIA since 2007.
Sodexo is No. 12 in the
2008 DiversityInc Top 50.
TIFFANI LEE has been
named diversity partner
for Holland & Knight, a
global law firm. Lee was
a litigation partner in
the firm’s Miami office.
Lee served as chair of the
firm’s African-American
Affinity Group and led
its external diversity-marketing efforts.
National Forum for
Latino Healthcare
Executives (NFLHE)
announced that MICHAEL
ANAYA SR. has been
appointed to serve as
president and chairman
of the board. He will
work with the NFLHE
board to increase the
representation of Latinos
at the executive level
of U.S. hospitals and
health systems. Anaya is
a founding member of
NFLHE and previously
served as its treasurer.
NFLHE is a national
nonprofit organization
dedicated to ensuring that
more Latinos can succeed
in the healthcare industry
at the executive level.
Scripps Networks
Interactive has named
CHRISTOPHER R.
POWELL to head
corporate-wide human-
resources operations.
Powell will be responsible
for overseeing
human resources
for the company’s
Lifestyle Media and
Interactive Services
business segments as
well as aligning the
department’s policies and
goals with the company’s
strategic business
objectives. Powell
previously worked for
Marriott International
in various corporate
human-resources roles.
He was also a recruiter
for Deloitte & Touche in
Chicago. Powell began
his career as a field sales
manager with the Ford
Motor Co. Marriott
International is No. 11,
Deloitte is No. 16 and
Ford Motor Co. is No. 27
