PRIMER, a network of business and professional
leaders in the Latino community, launched 2007 at
the Newark headquarters of DiversityInc on Jan. 4.
DiversityInc Partner and Cofounder Luke Visconti
was selected by the PRIMER board as its 2006
member of the year for consistently demonstrating
his commitment to promoting the values on which
PRIMER is based. Visconti is one of two non-Latino members of the organization. Guests at the
event included Marilda Gándara, president of the
Aetna Foundation; José M. Fernández, managing
director at Goldman Sachs; and Edwin Rivera, senior regional vice president for Premiere Radio

The CEOs of INROADS and the Association of Latino Professionals
in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) signed a partnership agreement
aiming to increase the number of Latinos in accounting, finance and
economics in America’s largest corporations. Corporate clients have
asked INROADS to assist them in creating a more diverse work force
that includes hiring more Latinos. Founded in 1970, INROADS is
the nation’s largest nonprofit source of salaried corporate internships
for black, Latino and Native American college students. (Pictured,

Diversity® list), was an honoree at the
15th Annual Trumpet Awards in Las
Vegas, Nev., on Jan. 22. He received the
award for excellence in business and his
devotion to corporate diversity.
