When Pennsylvania-native Sara Kordecki
traveled to Atlanta last summer to visit her
boyfriend—a graduate intern at the time—
she was immediately drawn to the
region’s climate, cosmopolitan environment and career opportunities. “We felt
we could find some really good jobs here,”
she recalls. That’s what prompted the 26-
year-old to circulate her resume to local
Internet firms. Within months, Kordecki
landed a job in midtown as a Web designer
and began calling this city home. “Atlanta
incorporates all the things I like about the
South,” she says, “plus there’s always
something going on!” Today, Kordecki and
her fiancé are counting down the days to
their wedding and plan to purchase a
house here within a few years.
