With a commitment to economic inclusion
and an eye toward future growth, the leaders of this
Midwest metro region have transformed Indianapolis
into a great place to live and work.
It has been rated the third least-costly large city to operate a company and the fifth-most-attractive area to expand a business. While some parts of the Midwest struggle with weak
economies, Indianapolis is outpacing other cities with the highest job-growth rate, compared to 25 major metro areas.
“Study after study is finding the same thing: Indianapolis is outperforming its peers in
terms of overall job growth,” stated Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson. “A decade of careful
planning and focused initiatives to spur the development of jobs is paying big dividends
now—and positioning our city for even greater future growth!”
