Our honorable-mentions list is a grouping of companies that
have made significant strides in several important areas
and came very close to gaining a spot on The 2006
DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list. Each
company has excelled in at least one of the areas we surveyed:
human capital, CEO commitment, corporate communications
and supplier diversity. But some did not have the consistent
strength in all four categories we required of the Top 50.
With a little extra effort, in our estimation, each of these companies has a real shot at making our Top 50 next year. They appear
here in alphabetical order.
